The Kolkata Police Puja Guide Map – 2024, Children Identity Badge, and Traffic Review Bulletin – 2023 were officially inaugurated on Friday. The guide map plays a crucial role in assisting the public during Durga Puja and is highly sought after by Puja organizers.
A total of 2905 Pujas will be celebrated in the Kolkata Police jurisdiction this year, with 248 prominent Pujas included in the map. Additionally, the map contains messages about traffic safety and cybercrime awareness to educate readers.
To manage the traffic and ensure smooth vehicular movement, Kolkata Police will deploy a significant number of personnel, including 18 Assistant Commissioners, 104 Inspectors, 550 Sub-Inspectors and Sergeants, 3600 constables, and 5200 temporary home guards.
The deployment will start from Chaturthi on October 7, 2024, and last through the Puja days.
